Thinning hairline. Will treatments work?

Hairline has been thinning gradually for around 3-4 years. Feels like it got really bad the last year. Could hide it when getting a haircut before but now its still bad after. I noticed that it started thinning when I was scratching my hairline with a comb a lot during that time and literal flakes would be sitting on the hairline. When i would scratch the flakes it would be red under and sometimes irritating. I have gotten much better at taking care of my hair as I used to not moisturize at all much and started using Nizoral shampoo. All other shampoos completely dry out my hair and makes my scalp flake up. Around a year ago I bought Minodil but was on/off alot along with nicroneedling. I have ordered the minoxidil and finasteride spray from Hims that I will begin taking once it arrives. Currenlty I am just using a minoxodil foam twice a day until the Hims arrives. Anybody have any other suggestions on what to do?

The flakes sound like seborrheic dermatitis which can cause hair loss. Make sure that’s fully treated. Here’s someone on the forum that reversed their hair loss by way of scalp health.

If it’s androgenic alopecia, you sound like you’re on the right track, read the beginner’s guide.
