Should i try 0.25/0.5mg or topical after sides on 1mg

I started taking 1mg finasteride 3x a week but after that first week i started having a lot of soreness in my chest so I stopped taking it for a few days and within those few days I noticed I had started to develop a small amount of gyno on one side of my chest and stopped taking finasteride and within 1/2 weeks the gyno had gone away.

I’m wondering if it’s worth me trying 0.25/0.5mg every other day or even 3x a week to get my body used to the medication or if I should just try topical because of how quickly I noticed sides

I believe gyno takes months to develop; not days. I also believe it takes months to go away (if indeed it does go away). Perhaps you fluid buildup or pseudogyno? In any case, you should be having this discussion with your prescribing physician. I don’t think giving personalized medical advice via a forum is a good idea. In any case, here’s some general advice. Yes, introducing the drug slowly could be a good idea. Try 0.5 mg every other day for a couple of weeks and then slowly build up to 1 mg every other day (e.g. by taking 1 mg once and 0.5 mg for the remaining days for 2 weeks; then 1 mg twice and 0.5 mg the remaining days for 2 weeks; etc. until you hit 1 mg every other day).
