New to microneedling

I want to start microneedling but it seems like I’m getting all sorts of conflicting information. There’s so many choices of needles and I don’t know what’s what.

Are the cartridges interchangeable? Like if I get an M8 are the only cartridges 0.5mm or are there 1.5mm M8? It’s not clear to me what the numbers of the cartridges mean.

Do I absolutely need to do 1.5mm for hair growth or will shallower depths work?

How long do I need to do it? Not like, per session, but when I start seeing growth do I need to continue or can I go less frequently?

Where do I buy? I’d like to avoid Amazon, Temu, or Aliexpress if possible, but it seems like they’re all either expensive or unavailable. I’ve also heard that drpen.com is unreliable.

What’s the status of the FDA regulations? I’ve seen a few things about restrictions, but again, there’s no clear answers.
