After a long time on Dutasteride I’ve recently switched to Finasteride due to consistently losing ground albeit not rapidly on Dutasteride. As soon as I switched over I began sheddding a lot. I’m wondering if anyone has any opinions on this; whether this is a good thing to or whether it’s simply hairs I’m losing due to Finasterides decreased strength. I’m also taking a topical anti androgen and minoxidil.
Switching from dut to fin can cause shedding due to the decrease in DHT suppression. Dut is stronger than fin, so the body might need time to adjust. Keep up with the topical anti-androgen and min; they can help stabilize the situation. The shedding should steady as your body adapts.
Thanks for the reply, I feel like Ive lost some ground already do you think normal shedding would account for this and it’ll come back or should I panic and switch back to Dutasteride
Not sure. Don’t think I would have switched in the first place
Yeah it was just because I saw continued loss on Dutasteride
