Basically title is self-explanatory but, how long it takes for dutasteride to build up? I am 37 days into dutasteride. Should I continue with proscar 1/4 per day or nah ditch it at this point?
Ran the program and inputted the 0.5mg dutasteride for 30 days. Based on the program above, 0.5mg dutasteride needs roughly 1-3 days to surpass the finasteride in DHT supression. It needs roughly 15 days to reach a meaningful level of DHT supression compared to finasteride (eg 85% instead of finasteride’s 70%).
keep in mind, what I wonder is hair follicle DHT or scalp DHT. I had obtained a copy of the japanese study that I mentioned in an earlier topic of mine and in that copy in less than or equivalent to 3 months, the DHT was literally nuked by the dutasteride. By nuked, I really, really mean it. I assume it is for 0.5mg though no info was given on the dose in that regard. However, I canNOT know when to ditch the fin for dut as when fin becomes less effective than dut for follicle/scalp DHT is unknown. this is the japanese study i mentioned. I have a few weeks of finasteride left and don’t wanna get more tbh.
