I haven’t right now im going to get a appointment to the dermatologist to see what he told me
okay. good news is, i’ve seen people come back from this once they start finasteride and minoxidil. finasteride works by suppressing dht and we dont know how minoxidil works yet except that it helps regrow hair. Finasteride is usually taken as a pill although some use topical. Minoxidil is applied topically as foam or solution, but i’ve heard people have more success with oral minoxidil as well. the drawback to oral minoxidil is that it can cause stronger side effects. Most likely, your derm will put you on oral finasteride and topical minoxidil to start. People using topical minoxidil will also use microneedling, but i’m not too knowledgeable on it as I have just gotten started on it myself.
There’s also another dht suppressor that is stronger called dutasteride. If finasteride doesn’t work, many people try dutasteride. there’s more that goes into this, but it’s better explained by existing resources already. check out Haircafe on youtube. he’s pretty funny and explains stuff well.
