I have Norwood stage 6 or 7, I’m not sure, but there’s small, dormant hairs in the bald area. I think the follicles haven’t completely died, so I want to know what I can use now to at least preserve the remaining follicles and prevent them from dying completely during this period while waiting for a new treatment in the coming years?

Bro, I work out regularly and want high testosterone. I’m even considering taking supplements to raise my testosterone, So I don’t want to develop gynecomastia from finasteride or lower my testosterone!
if you believe fin will lower your T, you my friend will go bald. Fin does not fucking lower T, it increases it instead. Keep your expectations also low, follicles NEVER die unless fibrosis etc. occurs. But they go DORMANT. A point is reached where no drug will ever, ever work. Except the pp405 or perhaps enhanced minoxidil eg. liposomal minoxidil sulfate or vdphl01. Keep in mind liposomal minoxidil sulfate is largely experimental as of 2025 along with vdphl01 and pp405. Gyno is also not something that develops on all men, a small percent experience it and those are the most vocal typically speaking so you get a false impression. I am on the fucking dutasteride for nearly 50 days yet I have to see slightest enlargement of my breasts. Seeing my beard getting thicker with oral minoxidil and growing slower with dutasteride, two hallmark of drugs working typically, makes wanna bang my head on wall and scream to myself why the fuck I did not get on oral minoxidil+dutasteride earlier. Literally, if you experience any sort of thinning go see a proper derm and consider getting on finasteride ASAP. Like right now, or tomorrow at most. Do NOT lose time. You may become Norwood 4-5 if you act early, from that point onwards a transplant will do the job. As an example, for 2 years the AGA stopped for me. I did even partially regrow what I lost WITHOUT THE MEDICINES. I told myself, look it is not getting worse, it was not getting worse. Look, I cannot get prescription for fin or dut, or minox in topical form is expensive. One day I can do this and that, obtain oral minoxidil one day, one day since in Turkey it is unavailable. No, AGA does not wait for your plans. But just a few months ago I found out that it never ever did stop, and kept getting worse. This especially is true for diffuse thinners, a wave-like pattern may emerge where hair may try fighting on its own but that pattern will ALWAYS in the end points downward and this is the truth. It may genuinely stop for a few months-years maybe even a decade, or it may seem as such but all the hairs in the future will fall out the moment the balding process begins. This is the cold, hard and dark truth. The amount of IGF or related growth factors a hair receives is not enough for maintaining terminal hair that you right now have if your follicles are sensitive to DHT.
