I’m not sure what is going on with my hair. I keep losing it on the sides of my head but the top of my hair remains thick. I’m 34m.
Sometimes I feel it being itchy so I know there’s some type of inflammation going on. It seems like the opposite of androgenic alepecia though. I bought some topical dutasteride and have putting that on it. I also use keto shampoo. Just not sure what to do and I’m pretty sure the sides and back of my head is going to be bald by the time I’m 40.
Could be retrograde AGA, could be something else. The itch points more toward inflammation or something autoimmune. Topical dut might help a bit if it’s DHT-related, but if there’s other sources of inflammation, you’ll need something like a steroid or immunosuppressant. Best move is get a biopsy so you know what you’re actually dealing with.
