What happened to my hair? It changed drastically and became much more brittle in just a few months

These photos were taken months apart. My hair is very brittle now and it falls out very easily. Particularly in the shower. I never used to notice hair on my hands in the shower before, but now it happens all the time.

Not only in my hair very brittle in the front, but it’s also very brittle and wispy on the back of my head too (see third photo)
