These photos are from March 2024. I had not started treatment of any kind and was looking at the possibility of a hair transplant.

These photos are from October 2024.
In Aug 2024 Started a 1.1mg fin and 3mg min daily chewable from Hims. So about 2 months on that.
The day of these pictures I added once a week .5mg dutasteride.
My hair transplant is scheduled for December 18th, in Istanbul, Turkey!
Im going to Lenus Clinic.
Looking forward to it, and experimenting with oral meds in the mean time. Only about 6 weeks until my flight

Update #1: Hair Clinic Switch
So now I am going to Vanity Hospital for my hair transplant.
I noticed Lenus Clinic did transplants with rows, which I really didn’t want, even though a lot of Lenus’ reaults were pretty good with patients growing out their hair. I was just afraid youd be able to see the rows if i ever decided to shave my head for fun.
Over the past few weeks I got consultations at different clinics with the idea of finding somewhere just as affordable with potentially better results.
I found someones post on reddit and was able to chat with them and I looked thoroughly over their results and got a feel for their experience. They were extremely happy, and the price was actually even cheaper. We got to have a pretty thorough and long back in forth and he was super informative about his experiences. The best part is the surgeon didn’t do rows, and his placement looked much more natural.
The results this guy got were genuinely great too. Great density, which is my focus. His case was a little less progressed, but not a whole ton less than mine pre transplant though, so I took that into account.
After talking to them directly, I got a quote and it matched up nicely with my expectations. Package seemed legit and directly comparable to Lenus. Instead of “5000” grafts they quoted me at “minimum 4500 grafts” which is pretty close. Ideally, honestly, I’m looking for the max amount of grafts and hoping I can get around 5500 or possibly more, if possible. I got to see results that seemed a bit more consistent than Lenus, and additionally again, consistently no rows! After chatting with them long enough, I decided to check and see if I could use my planned flight dates to do a clean swap, to make my final decision on whether I would switch. I sent them my plane itinerary to see if they’d accomodate the same surgery day I had planned.
They could!
I asked a few more questions about Hotel accomodations, additional added accomodations and perks and they answered them all.
I decided to switch.
Today I committed to go to Vanity instead and paid Vanity’s deposit.
I’m hoping maybe I can get my deposit back from Lenus, but I’m not expecting anything to be honest. My surgery date is December 18th. So that’s the Hair Transplant update.
Update #2: New medicine/treatments
I added new treatment/medicine.
For about 1.5 weeks I added dutasteride .5mg daily. The side effects ended up getting worse and worse: fatigue, sluggishness, muscle weakeness, shortness of breath, muscle soreness, and lastly beginning of breast development in my right nip/chest. Fuck!
I really wanted dut to work, because I saw so many post insane results from taking it. Not much I can do though, and luckily I don’t notice any side effects on 1.1mg finasteride daily alone.
So I ditched dut 2 days ago.
Then yesterday I also added: topical minoxidil 5% 2x daily and derma stamping x2 weekly!
So far no sides or anything but will be sure to update.
Update #3: New Comparison with old Photos
I was looking through old photos hoping to find good photos from the past I could compare to now, now around 3 months into medicinal treatment with Hims (1.1mg fin, 3mg min) daily chewable. This photo is about the only good photo I could find, from the front view.
I found that the other photos I took before starting treatment, my hair wasnt long enough to really be able to compare the top down good enough but Ill add the new top downs from Nov 2024 anyway with some old top downs where my hair is a little shorter and photos a little blurry(they were videos).
