Started to notice early signs of hair loss recently (thinning on crown), and after much research, I think I’m going to start topical finasteride (0.01% solution EOD to reduce systemic absorption).
I recently found out also that I have microlithiasis of the testicles. Essentially means I have tiny calcium deposits on my testicles that are harmless and appear in 5-10% of the population. In the past it was believed that this indicated a higher risk of testicular cancer, but this is now understood to not be true unless one’s family has a history of testicular cancer.
My question here is has anyone else been in my position, wishing to start fin but been concerned about their microlithiasis as well? Cannot seem to find much on Google about this at all, so just wondered if anyone here had the same query at one point in the past, and if you deemed it necessary to get a medical opinion before hopping on fin? Thanks!
