Switching from fin 1mg to dut 0.5mg after 13 years

Hello all,
I have been on Finasteride 1mg daily for something like 13 years, since I was 18. I didn’t regain 100% of the hair I had lost, but it was good enough that only I would notice, and it’s stayed stable for a long time. I haven’t experienced significant side effects.
However, recently I’ve noticed thinning around the temples and the crown.
I was wondering whether Finasteride might be losing potency, or if my body is changing now that I have entered my 30s. Although it might be also my eating habits, I’m not sure.

I was reading about Dutasteride and I thought it might be worth a try the switch, what do you think? Has anyone had a similar experience?

yes, make the switch, dut is a more potent drug that will likely help. truth is - there is no cure for hair loss, and what 5ar blockers like fin/dut do is reduce dht, this reversing some miniaturization in your affected follicles, but then miniaturization still slowly continues due to residual dht and other androgens.

this is true but downplaying it a bit, there have been miraculous recoveries on tressless
