Hey everyone, just need y’all to chime in.
I am a NW3 Vertex and switched from topical fin+min (diluted fin pills into my minoxidil solution) to oral dut 0.5 mg + oral min 5 mg with diminishing returns.
Been on the old regime for a year and I wouldn’t say I ever was a great responder but my hair seemed stabilized and a tad bit thicker in some spots. I even had vellus hair darkening though it never grew.
Now, since I wasn’t satisfied and wanted more growth I switched to a stronger regime of oral dut 0.5mg + oral min 5mg. Since the switch my hair gradually got thinner and all the vellus hair fell out. There’s no sign of new growth and even the trichologist pointed out that it’s not looking promising so far.
I still can’t wrap my head around why the stronger regime works so much worse for me. And it doesn’t seem like a typical shed since I would’ve seen baby hairs by now and the shedding would’ve probably been not as gradual. Don’t know where to go from here and really wished I could grow (pun intended) my confidence again.
