Should I stop taking Minoxidil after only taking it for 3 weeks to see how I respond to Finasteride?

I recently started taking Foam Minoxidil about three weeks ago that we already had for another household member is sharing to help combat hairloss (NW3 w/ possible diffuse thinning at the top), though further research shows that I should’ve started with Finasteride first and see how I respond to it. I have started Finasteride about 3 days ago.

Is stopping Minoxidil after 3 weeks enough to cause any sort of negative effects or should I be fine, and is this something I should do? I believe a little bit of shedding has already started.

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

it’s fine to stop min after 3 weeks if you wanna see how you respond to fin. you might notice a bit of shed as your hair cycles adjust, but stopping at this stage shouldn’t cause any long-term effects. starting with fin is smart as it targets DHT, which is the main cause of hair loss in AGA. both treatments together usually give the best results.
