Hey guys, 22m here. My hairline has recently started receding at the temples (or at least one of them). No thinning on the crown or anything, so it’s early stages yet. I got a prescription for finasteride, but I’m unsure whether I should use it given that I haven’t lost much hair yet. I’m also pretty worried about possible side effects as I’ve heard some horror stories. On the other hand, I have a very big head and don’t think I’d look good bald given my head shape. Any advice on what to do would be appreciated. Please see photos attached.
fin could be a good option to stop further loss at your temples since it’s early-stage AGA. It reduces DHT, which is the main cause of hair loss. Side effects are possible but rare, and stopping the drug usually reverses them. You could also keep an eye on your hairline and start fin if you notice more recession.
