Should I Split 1mg Finasteride or Take 1mg Every Other Day?

I just got a supply of 1mg finasteride.
In order to save money and reduce side effects I want to either split the pills and take 0.5 mg every day or take 1mg every other day.

Which method is most effective?

I’ve read mixed things on the effectiveness of splitting the pill due to the coating. But I’ve also read some things saying not to alternate due to the 8 hour half life.

0.5 mg daily is likely more effective for consistent DHT suppression. You can split the pills, just be careful with dosing. Read more in The Beginner’s Guide.
