Hi, ive been on fin 1mg and topical minoxidil since august 2024. Had decent regrowth i would say until december 2024. In the start of the year i had a horrible idea to add 1.25mg daily oral minoxidil to the mix and also since then i saw i had a new batch of the fin i use. I stopped the oral minoxidil after 1 week because i was freaked out about shedding what i had gained until that point. Now its been over a month and half and im still shedding, you can really see on the left temple how thin it got. Could be just a normal 6/7 months shed? Or maybe a shed induced of the oral minoxidil? Or even say absurd a bad finasteride batch? I also got a more itchy scalp right now and even some acne going on. Im also washing 3 times a week with keto shampoo.
I don’t think so already you have topical minoxidil and its effects in haircount improvement is very similar. And 7 months is so long for use drugs telogen effluviom specially for that drug which isn’t using now and about week , first of all you should rulled out the expansion of androgenic alopecia because of accumulation of androgenic effects during time exposure, because that previous dht effects which is blocked some of it , remain lower dht yet can cause shedding specially in appropriate duration, the second cause which might immune response you mention itching can cause shedding and be can be solved by adding some topical corticosteroids low concentration, but you should be under strict the expertize dermatologist

the jist of it is you should add complementary treatments like topical corticosteroids for instance hydrocortisone topically to reduce itching and stronger antiandrogen preferably topical to counteract more androgen effects, don’t waist your time on oral minoxidil shedding as a hairloss cause
And what topical amti androgen you recommend? Topical stronger than finnas far as i know could be topical dut but i heard its not that good when used topically. Other than that i could try RU but i made decent gains only with fin. Is that the shed started again
