Serum DHT data wanted for insights into dutasteride efficacy. Please get in touch!

Hi everybody.

I am a participant on the KWRX discord server. On the server there are a couple of members who have shown an unexpectedly low drop in DHT after taking dutasteride, and it just doesn’t seem to square with the data in Olsen et al [1] and Clark et al [2]. We think we may have a potential explanation, but need more data about individual responses to dutasteride in order to investigate further.

Do you take dutasteride and have serum DHT data, including a baseline reading? The more the better, particularly if they are at a range of doses. If so and you would not mind sharing I would be ever so grateful to hear from you. If you have 23andme (or similar) and would not mind sharing a few SNPs, extra specially pretty please get in touch because it would be awesome to see if this could be linked to some common variants in genes controlling drug metabolism.

We will need to chat to make sure the data is suitable for inclusion, so please message me on discord - my handle is _gnathan, or gnathan on the KWRX discord. We can also chat more about the investigation and how the data would be used. Otherwise, you can contact me at gnathan5678@gmail.com. Everything would be fully anonymous, and of course I intend to share the final analysis if it does produce something of interest.

Thanks ever so much and I look forward to hearing from you!
