Seeking Advice on Starting Finasteride & Minoxidil for Thinning Hair and Receding Sides

Hair is thinning & sides beginning to recede so looking to jump on fin & minox. Please can people advise;

  • how frequent and how much dosage should be taking off each?
  • Minox oral or topical? (I have a dog also)
  • any brands they recommend?

1mg/day oral finasteride
5% topical minoxidil once or twice per day (you could also not use minoxidil)

Thanks - I was thinking of starting on fin first then adding in minox slowly. Have you found topical foam or serum better than oral?

I don’t use minoxidil but oral saves you the hassle of applying a topical to your scalp but it is less safe. Depends on your haircut and whether you wanna risk it or no. Personally I don’t need minoxidil for now but hopefully a safer form of oral minoxidil/growth stimulant shows up in the next 5 years so I can add that shit to the stack (probably won’t happen tho)
