Finally booked a time with a second dermatologist today and it was downright frustrating.
The derm was totally uninformed. He kept telling me that there is no way for me to save my hair, and that solutions like Min/Fin are too unsafe and have too many side effects. I brought up topical solutions and he shot them down without much comment.
Told me to use mustard oil (yes, he literally said that) and to get PRP. I told him PRP does not reliably work and is no more than bullshit. He kept reiterating that it in fact does work and hes never had complaints. Told me not to get exosomes. He gave me a fucking Zinc supplement to take, a hair shampoo he was trying to sell and a zinc hair spray.
Complete and utter waste of time and money. I’m frustrated because I wanted a professional opinion before starting min/fin. My first derm didnt completely shoot down min/fin, but has advised to me to take multi, iron supplements and check in with them in 3 months.
I feel like im losing more and more hair and time with all these bullshit supplements they keep giving me.
