Right way to use Dermapen+Minoxidil

Dear people,
I am a 43yo male from sydney coping up with hair loss. Was using Minoxidil a few years back (without dermapen/dermaroller). Have been reading some success stories about the DP+M combo and wanted to give it a go.
Bought m8s off AliExpress and Regaine (Minoxidil) from chemist warehouse. Wanted to get your opinion on the below

  1. Is once a week dermapen use ideal? If not. What’s the recommended period?
  2. What’s the ideal needle depth to use (on scalp and on face for mustache and beard thickening and growth)?
  3. Which cartridge gives optimum results? - 12 vs 18 vs 36 vs 42
  4. Can I apply Minoxidil immediately after the dermapen session or is there a window that needs to be followed before applying?
  5. Is numb cream on face and scalp safe before using dermapen (especially the 12 pins that causes pain)?
  6. How many times can I use the same cartridge after sanitizing with isocol or similar?

  1. Once a week dermarolling is good.
  2. Try 1.0-1.5 mm depth for scalp, 0.5 mm for beard.
  3. 12-pin cartridges might be more effective but more painful.
  4. Wait 12-24 hours before applying min after dermarolling.
  5. Numb cream before is fine, just wipe it off well.
  6. Use a new cartridge each time to avoid infections.

a dut is mulberry in Turkish. black mulberries are called as karaduts, kara for dark in turkish. Jokes aside, dut is short for dutasteride and fin for finasteride. Without them you do not attack the root cause that causes your hair follicles to die, that is the DHT. You only buy time, and that time will run out. Get on them, as always with a doctor’s prescription.
