Receding hairline / temples - asking for advice

Hi everybody,

hairloss started 2 years ago with receding temples. Now I am 28 yesrs old. I started with alfatradiol some oils and saw palmetto and other supplements but didnt do anything. Since 04/2025 I am using RU58841 every evening. Hasnt stopped my hairloss but I guess maybe slowed it down a bit. Thinking about trying pyrilutamide / KX826 now. Is it worth a try?

Do you have any advice to stop the hairloss and gain some hairs back without using fin?
I had puberty gyno…just had surgery and dont wanna risk it to grow again. And when I used saw palmetto high dosed it seemed to grow again plus I got my back acne back. So fin is no option for me…also because of all the other sides and pfs.

I am also thinking about starting minoxidil but I am afraid. Have read some horror stories of people telling that minox just made their hairline worse. What do you think…should i try it? Does it even make scence without fin? I just wanna keep those hairs but i am pretty frustrated.

finasteride/dutasteride or accept going full norwood7 within 5-10 years. I understand that you don’t want to risk gyno, but fin/dut is a must. Maybe topical finasteride might be an option for you or topical dutasteride (I don’t know how effective topical dutasteride is so keep that in mind though). Saw palmetto won’t do shit, believe me. If you have the elvis presley hair and see slight recession in your 60s then yeah it may do some stuff otherwise nope, you are at most 35 and with hairline receding.
