Questions About Topical Finasteride & Minoxidil vs. Oral Treatment Effects and Combo Benefits

b. Has this combo alone given results to anyone and does it get absorbed in the blood?
c. Is topical min + fin solution having any shedding phase when it is started or stopped? For how long does it usually last? And all shedded hair come back later?
d. Many people nowadays use a solution which has minoxidil + finasteride + dutasteride (or either one of them) + tretonin. Is fin + duta + tret combo needed? How does tret help one in a situation like this?

a. Topical fin with min doesn’t always give the same results as oral fin, but it can still be effective with fewer side effects.

b. Some people do see results, but it varies. Less gets absorbed into the bloodstream compared to oral fin.

c. Shedding when starting or stopping min + fin is normal and can last weeks to months, with new growth usually following.

d. Fin + duta + tret can be more effective due to stronger DHT inhibition, but it depends on personal needs. Tret helps min work better by boosting absorption.

Thank You.

a.Here we have got topical 5% minoxidil and minimum 0.10% finasteride solution. I have heard that one should start with like 0.025% finasteride but only minimum 0.10% finasteride topical is available here. Is it okay if I start with this solution twice a day?

b. Would you recommend derma roller/stamping also?

c. Since we don’t have a topical solution available here which has minoxidil, finasteride and tret all combined so, does it make sense to apply tret first then wait for 5 to 10 minutes and then apply the minoxidil and finasteride solution?

d. And should I add nizoral shampoo too? I don’t have any considerable dandruff but an oily scalp, only thinking about it because some studies say that it helps in combating dht.

yes to all
