Post FUE finasteride - moved from oral to topical

Hi all

6 months post 2700 graft FUE and enjoying my early stage results.

Came off finasteride for the procedure but had been on it ten years prior and went back on as soon as I was able to.

Except I decided to move to topical finasteride (with minoxidal) rather than the oral.

No issues for me except I’m now seeing quite a lot of growth in areas I’m not used to i.e. eyebrows are growing at an unprecedented rate, sideburns trying to connect to my eyebrows too.

I mean it’s all great as it’s working but my hair is dark dark brown (Indian) it’s becoming noticeable and I’m being to shape and shave what I didn’t need to previously.

Anyone else had this?

Assuming this isn’t an issue when I’m having regular haircuts but it’s all new to me.

Would be interested to know if anyone has experienced anything similar.

yeah, what you’re noticing with your eyebrows and sideburns is probably due to the minoxidil causing extra growth. It’s not super common but not unheard of either, especially if min is getting on those areas. You might want to be careful about where you apply it. No worries if it’s a new thing, just keep it tidy with regular grooming.
