Persistent Shedding on 2.5mg Oral Minoxidil: No Reduction After 13 Weeks

I had stopped OM for a bit in march 2025 due to hypertrichosis after which I started shedding a lot in may 2025

so in mid-sept, I restarted on 1mg and the shedding just kept going on due to minoxidil withdrawal shed and then OM dread-shed

On 17th Nov my derm bumped it up to 2.5 mg and since dec and my shedding has been awful since then 100-300 hair every shower day

its been close to 13 weeks and my hair continues to shed like crazy, I do see alot of regrowth but the shedding doesnt stop

its been close to 11 weeks on OM 2.5mg but the shedding is BADDD and I havent seen a reduction at all

anyone who has similar experiences or inputs?

shedding after starting oral min is common and can take several months to stabilize. 13 weeks can still be early, and seeing regrowth is a good sign. keep monitoring it but it might settle with more time.

@henryk months is an overstatement for shedding imho.
