Oral Fin vs Topical Fin what’s better?

Think I’m going to have to bite the bullet and start taking a form of fin. What is the most effective? I have scalp psoriasis and a sensitive scalp that is constantly itchy so l’m not sure if topical is a good idea but it seems to have less side effects? Any help is appreciated !

Well first dude, treat your scalp psoriasis. That alone will make you bald even without DHT. It’s an autoimmune condition.

Talk to your doctor about doing this. Show them this protocol.

Topical Medicated Shampoos:

  • Clobetasol Propionate Shampoo 0.05%
    – Using this twice a week. YOU MUST APPLY TO A DRY SCALP AND LATHER IT IN. It MUST be on your scalp for a minimum of 15 minutes or you will be wasting your time/supply. Never apply to a wet scalp. Only when DRY. Then you wash it out after 15 minutes.

  • Benzoyl Peroxide shampoo 10%:
    – apply to a wet scalp. Lather it into your scalp. Do this for 5 minutes minimum. 10 minutes maximum. Wash it out. Be careful with this because it can ruin your clothes by discoloration.

  • Nizoral Psoriasis shampoo and conditioner
    – use this on your scalp three 4 times a week.

Topical Solutions:

  • Calcipotriene Topical Solution 0.005%
    – 5/7 days of the week use. This is a Topical vitamin D ANALOG. So get blood work done. It has been shown to be safe in long term use and can help prevent skin thinning from topical steroid use.

  • Clobetasol Propionate Solution 0.05%
    – 5/7 days of the week use. Using with Calcipotriene Solution above.

Androgenetic Alopecia Treatment Stream:

  • Oral Dutasteride 0.5mg per day

Things to be mindful of:

Your scalp health. Get it checked after 3 months when you start for signs of skin thinning. Also find the right schedule and routine.

Also, if need be, your doctor might put you on a Jak inhibitor for the scalp psoriasis with something like abrocitinib. Again, talk to your doctor. I’m not a doctor; im just a person who researchers papers online.

Thanks for the advice mate! I will speak to my doctor!
