Not seeing much signs of MPB, hair is still thinning fast. What could it be? Should I wait to take min?

My hairline is pretty good, and has not receeded one bit. However, I can see my scalp when my hair is wet, and under the light. Sorry for the lack of visual reference, but it appears to be diffused thinning, albeit caught very, very early.

I have been extremely stressed for the past few months, I have been a recovering anorexic for a while (there have been some bad days occassionally) and I have a really bad vitamin deficiency. The figure used to below five (30> being a deficiency) but latest blood has shown it barely exceeding 12.

I will obviously be back on vitamin meds, but the question is do I wait to see a difference purely on those? Or should I start to take min/fin/dut or whatever else as soon as possible? Is there a possibility it could just be MPB but less notice-able? please let me know what to do.

P.S. I will be turning 19 this August, so I’m still pretty young.

At your age and considering your recent stress and vitamin deficiency, diffuse thinning could be due to TE rather than AGA. Focus on correcting the vitamin deficiency first as it might help improve your hair condition. Min can help with hair growth, but if you’re not showing typical signs of AGA yet, you might want to see if your hair improves once you’re back on vitamins. If you do decide to start treatment, min is a good place to begin since it stimulates growth and has few side effects.
