My 12 month Korea Hair Transplant Progress Update

Description

I wanted to share my experience getting a hair transplant in South Korea, since I didn’t find a lot of detailed, first-hand posts here when I was researching.

I had the procedure last year at a dermatology clinic in Seoul that focuses on hair restoration. I looked into several options beforehand (including local clinics and Turkey), and ultimately chose Korea based on how the consultation process was handled and the level of medical involvement.

A few things that stood out during my experience:

The consultation was very thorough, hairline design, density planning, and donor area assessment took a long time and didn’t feel rushed

The same medical team handled the procedure throughout, rather than switching technicians midway

A stem cell PRP treatment was included, which they explained was intended to support graft survival

Pricing was more reasonable than I expected given the amount of time and care involved

It’s been several months now and the growth and overall survival rate look solid so far. I know it’s still early in the timeline, but the hairline looks natural and blends well, which was my main concern going in.

I’m not affiliated with the clinic in any way just sharing because Korea doesn’t seem to get mentioned as often when people talk about hair transplant destinations.

If anyone is considering Korea for a hair transplant or has questions about the process, recovery, or what to look for during consultations, I’m happy to share what I learned.
