Description

August 9 - September 10, 2026:

Routine for This Month:

  • Oral finasteride (1 mg) - 1x daily
  • Oral minoxidil (2.5 mg) - 1x daily
  • Ketoconazole Shampoo (2%) - 3x per week for 5-minute-long application each time

I will start dermastamping (1.0 mm) once per week, dry scalp massaging for 4-10 minutes daily, and use an SM brush to gently massage the Ketoconazole Shampoo on my scalp on the days that I apply this shampoo.

Posting transparently as Health and Beauty, a treatment-comparison and patient-coordination service, not a medical provider.

Your August 9–September 10 dates are a helpful start for a progress log. For your next update, labeling each photo with its date and view can make comparisons easier. Using the same room, lighting, camera distance and hairstyle also helps keep the images comparable. A short note about any different photo conditions would let readers interpret the update more fairly. This is a suggestion for documenting the journal, not an assessment of your results or treatment routine.

Thank you. I appreciate the feedback, and I’ll follow some of the recommended guidelines you gave, like trying to use same lighting, angle, date, etc.

Since my last progress post last month, I have consistently continued and done the following:

  • Oral minoxidil (2.5 mg) x 1 daily
  • Oral finasteride (1 mg) x 1 daily
  • Apply Ketoconazole 2% shampoo for 5 minutes (including approx. 2 minutes of scalp massaging with SM brush) x 3 weekly
  • Dermastamp (1.0 mm) x 1 weekly
  • 10-minute dry scalp massaging (5-minute circular kneading, then 5-minute pinch-and-move method) x 1 daily - I have recently in the past few days split this into 2 x 5-minute sessions per day, once in AM and once in PM to lessen the gap between massages and reactivate blood flow on my scalp more often

I got 2 haircuts between my last progress photo and today. My haircuts are predominantly getting a skin fade on the sides and trimming as little as possible at the top, just enough to even out the hair on top.
