Massive Telofen Effluvium after months sick. I already had enough shedding due to Seborrheic Dermatitis. I don't know where to start.

Late twenties here. I already read the beginner’s guide and concluded it would be too much of a stretch to treat my hair concerns as some sort of alopecia.

I have dealt with seborrheic dermatitis since 2012 and that alone has caused moderate shedding if I don’t treat my scalp accordingly. However, l’ve always had a dense full head of hair regardless. I must admit bad sleep hygiene and stress have played a role in my hair growth the seb derm itself.

This year l’ve been sick since late January and have had terrible sleep since then. I’m finally recovering but the shedding has been out of this world. I shed like a DOG! I only tested my vitamin D and was deficient, I don’t know what else to get tested for. I don’t even know what to do or where to start if I’m being honest.

For TE, it usually resolves after the stressor is gone, but keep treating your seb derm with ketoconazole and maybe try CBD with MCT oil. Correct your vitamin D levels, and make sure you’re giving it some time as TE can take several months to improve. Good sleep will help too. If you’re still worried, you might want to search more on tressless.com for specific treatments.
