M20 with Low Vitamin D, B12, and Iron: Impact on Hair Loss?

Hey guys, M20 here. I’ve been losing hair for a couple of years now, but recently it got pretty bad, so I did some bloodwork to check my levels. Turns out my Vitamin D is quite low (25.8 nmol/L, where 75–250 is considered normal). My hair is also brittle, dry, and looks damaged.

My dad has a full head of hair, and the men on both my dad’s and mom’s sides of the family generally have no hair loss issues.

I’m also slightly deficient in B12 and iron:

B12: 216 pmol/L (normal >220)
Ferritin (Iron): 23 ug/L (normal >30)

Any recommendation on what vit d i need to take?

Check out Rhonda Patrick’s notes on Vitamin D. Get your levels of everything fixed, but your hair loss may still be genetic, sometimes you can be the only bald one in the family.
