Losing ground after 20 years of FIN, switch to DUT?

I have a family history of MPB so as soon as I started noticing hair loss in my 20s, I immediately jumped on FIN + minox. I had libido issues on 1mg FIN so I switched to .5 everyday and have not had any issues since. It did a remarkable job of slowing down hair loss and maintaining my hair for 15 years, but I’m 41 now and the hair loss has started to progress more and more over the last couple years. In particular, my hair has receded pretty significantly at the temples and my entire hairline has thinned out considerably. I’m noticeably balding now and every hairstyle I try looks bad.

Has anyone in this same situation (i.e, FIN losing effectiveness after long-term use) switched to DUT and seen an improvement? Any other options people would recommend? My current regimen is still .5mg FIN and 3mg oral minox everyday, so I know I could up the FIN dosage but I’m hesitant to do so because of the sides I previously experienced. I’m probably just going to go all-in for a hair transfer at some point in the next few years, but if there any other medication alternatives I should explore first, I’d appreciate suggestions. Thank you.
