I’m currently taking dutasteride and minoxidil from Happy Head and i’ve been on it for around six months. Since starting, i’ve had an increase in how itchy my scalp has been. Before taking dutasteride I was on fin for two years, and previously had taken minoxidil and never had such an itchy scalp when on either of those, which leads me to believe that it’s probably the dut causing it to itch. I’m not sure what I should do, I feel like I’ve tried every shampoo to get the itch to go away and haven’t had much success, and I’m scared to stop taking it because I don’t want to lose even more density than I am currently. Any advice on what I should do?
You might want to try using ketoconazole shampoo to calm the itch, as it can help with any underlying seborrheic dermatitis. Another option to consider is using CBD oil with MCT as a carrier oil to reduce inflammation.
