Is minoxidil enough to prevent further recession?

I have been using 5% topical minoxidil (10 drops, twice a day) for a year. In the last two months, my hair loss has worsened. Would starting finasteride at this point be too much?

Btw, which Norwood stage am I at?

If you want to stop hair loss long term, you typically need both. Finasteride is the pesticide, Minoxidil is the fertilizer.

Thanks! I’m going to start finasteride too. BTW, do you think it’s possible to regrow my temples without a hair transplant?

Definitely possible but you won’t know until you’ve been on treatment for over a year. Take pictures every couple of months and post in a journal here.

Yeah take it easy and log off, try not to obsess.
