(24M) I would like to know if it’s necessary to use minoxidil together with dutasteride to recover the hair I lost a few years ago.
I’ve been taking 0.5 mg of dutasteride daily for 4 months without missing a dose. The shedding effect started in the third month, and I don’t see any signs that it will stop soon. What worries me is that I hardly see any miniaturized hairs in the temple areas, which is what I most want to recover. Is this due to the shedding?
Not sure if that’s due to shedding but most of us believe that Min is necessary. The simplistic analogy is usually that Minoxidil is the fertilizer, Fin and Dut are the pesticide.
Add min. I took fin by itself 3 years ago. Only for 10 months or so. My facial hair kind of got thicker but nothing else. Now I’m on 5 months min. No sides. Facial hair thicker and i started topical dut and min 3 months ago. Keto shampoo. Microstamping. My hairline looks thicker. And i think I’m seeing a little regrowtth finally. Eitherway the min combo with something else relevant. I originally only took fin because of costs but now ive found how to keep costs down
