Hello, so I’ve been dutasteride 1mg daily for around 4 months now after 3-4 years of finasteride 1mg daily. Swapped due to me still loosing ground on Fin.
Had a pretty bad shed around month 2-3 but it seems to have stabilized, but I’ve seen people on the subreddit taking up to 2.5mgs? How do I know if 1mg is enough and is there anything else I can do to get more regrowth?
I’m already on minoxidil 2.5mg twice daily and I’ve just started using a rosemary oil solution daily as well. Any advice on how to get more regrowth would be appreciated.
We cannot know and by the time you may have already ended up losing ground. Brutal truth of hair loss treatments. No, low serum DHT levels don’t mean that you are not going to bald. Androgen sensitivity along with the Type I steroid-5-alpha-reductase is a thing and prevalent on various tissues and can also cause hair loss especially if you mention that finasteride was bollocks for you. I don’t know, probably nobody can. I would refer to a doctor and discuss with him/her using the max safe dose and titrating slowly while monitoring to see where I begin to lose ground, If I were you. I hope you never have to use 2.5mg of dutasteride and the standard 0.5mg gives you the hairline of elvis presley though.
