I was using 3x a week fin from April 2024 to May 2025 with good results. However this month I started noticing a loss of density, increased recession, and a larger bald spot. Other symptoms include a two days of itching and 2 days of increased shedding which have stopped. I did up my dosage to 7x a week in May and switch to a new set of pills after my old ones ran out. Fin doesn’t typically stop working after a year, but the body can react to the change in dosage or switching to a new type of pill. What you’re experiencing may be a temporary effect as your system adjusts. Make sure you’re consistent with your usage and keep monitoring. It’s also possible this is just part of your natural hair cycle. If it continues, stay on the 7x/week dosage for a while to see if the shedding stabilizes. Thanks! I’ll continue to do fin and track my progress. It is possible the lack of density on the sides is just an effect of how im pulling back my hair although my hair is naturally thin. I don’t see the lack of density when im pulling my hair from the sides.
