Hi guys, I’m 21 years old and have been using hair loss treatments since around march/april 2025
I’m from Europe and have been to many trichologists, they told me I wasn’t balding (I believe its due to fhe fact I didnt have excessive hair loss and my crown is perfect), but that I had “natural hairline recession due to the fact that its in my family’s genetics”
My last checkup was in february and I kept worrying until I had my primary care doctor prescribe me finasteride 5mg which I cut into quarters and take everyday without any side effects so far (I get checked).
Does anyone know if I should eventually opt for a hair transplant, to me my hairline looks ridiculous and receded but with my hair down its usually fine.
What norwood would you say I fall into? 2?
First 3 pics are from now last 2 are from December 2024
One of my trichologists did prescribe me 2% minoxidil, I used it for 3 months and then stopped it cold turkey, I know I’m not supposed to but putting lotion on every night on my right temple was drying my shit out and leaving me with flakes and dry ass hair in the morning.
Am I on a fin+stopped min shed both at the same time?
You’re probably not balding, that’s just your natural hairline. Different types of hairlines exist in humans, you have a widow’s peak hairline. If your dad is bald, you can take fin as a preventive measure
Yeah kinda what I’m doing, my dad isnt slick bald hes like nw4 and my ma’s dad was a nw3 before he passed at 80. I see a change between my december pics and now, could it be its advancing even with fin or a shed?
