High LH and Estradiol on Finasteride – No side effects, but should I worry?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been on Finasteride for a while and just got my blood work results. I noticed a significant jump in some markers compared to my baseline from a year ago.

Current Results:

• LH: 13.7 IU/l (Range: 1.7 - 8.6)

• Estradiol: 213 pmol/l (Range: 41 - 159)

Baseline (Year ago):

• LH: 4.8 IU/l

• Estradiol: 162 pmol/l

Important context: I am not experiencing any side effects (no mood swings, no gyno). I have some water retention, but that’s been a chronic issue since before I started Fin.

Has anyone else seen their LH nearly triple like this? Is this level of Estradiol a cause for concern if I feel perfectly fine?

It’s not uncommon for LH and estradiol to change with fin. If you’re not experiencing side effects, there’s not much to worry about. Keep monitoring your levels and continue treatment if everything feels fine.
