Has anyone had experience with PRP causing or exasperating alopecia areata?

33 female with history of androgenic alopecia. I have never had an outbreak of alopecia areata until about a month and a half after my first PRP treatment. I have about three patches now. Has anyone had similar experiences? Also, has anyone had AA and then tried PRP to see it only make matters worse? Thanks!

What drugs you take?

I do not take any drugs.

Problem is that PRP do nothing with hairs and especially if u have AGA. Your AGA just going forward. IF u do sport (muscle stress) or lost weight (fat burn) you pretty sure accelerate your AGA. Need real drugs (spiro 50mg, minoxidil 5%) and do cardio/run. Cold shower to scalp after training. Yeat spicy food also (garlic, red pepper, wassaby, onion).

Thank you for your advice.

What kind of PRP treatment?

Platelet rich plasma injections to the scalp

I don’t have alopecia areata but I’ve read that localized treatments can trigger random immune responses in aa patients.

It looks like the research is all over the place in regards to efficacy, has it helped in the past?
