Hairline receding again after stopping fin due to gyno – need advice on restarting (topical vs low dose oral)

I was on 1mg finasteride EOD for 2 months. During that time, I developed unilateral gyno. I’ve been off fin for 2 months now, but the gyno hasn’t gone away. Unfortunately, my hairline has started to recede again, and I’m considering restarting treatment.

Now I’m unsure whether to go back on oral fin (maybe at a lower dose like 0.25mg EOD or 0.5mg EOD), or try topical minoxidil + finasteride (0.1% solution).

Would really appreciate any advice from those who’ve dealt with this kind of situation. What would be a safer yet effective approach to manage hair loss without worsening the issue?

since gyno is a concern, trying topical fin plus min could be a safer bet to manage hair loss while reducing systemic side effects. starting with the topical fin at 0.1% and using min might give you a good balance. if you want to use oral fin, you could try a lower dose like 0.25mg EOD, but keep monitoring for any side effects. check out The Beginner’s Guide for more info on how to use these treatments.
