I’ve been on dutasteride for a month and now I’ve just hit a major shed is it normal to be this early?
Do u got some more exercise in that time?
No not at all. I have not been exercising. Just taking dutasteride and hoping for the best.
Better to start running/cardio for good start. And add cold shower after training. Shedding could be from any occasion muscle stress.
Okay. So it has nothing to do with the dutasteride.

Thanks for the the help.
Shedding is distressing but normal, and is an expected part of treatment. Check out the beginner’s guide here.
Thanks for the reassurance I need it I’ll keep u posted on progress so far the shedding is decreasing steadily.
Update: I’ve just washed my hair properly today and have lost quite a lot of hair it’s insane is this a good sign?
Update: ok I cut my hair shorter in hopes tht the shedding wouldn’t be so bad but it’s still just as bad as before however my hairline wet seems to be looking a bit better the top is definitely getting thinner but the hairs on that remain on my head are thick I think it’s still too early to tell if the dutasteride is working but I’d like to hear any of your thoughts guys.
Stick with it, you have to think longer term as in 6 months - 1 year+
Okay I’m gonna start uploading progress pics for u gents I’m about a month and a half in.
I also just started ketocanzole shampoo to improve my scalp health and miconeedling 1mm and applying oils I don’t want to use minoxidil just yet I would like to see how far dutasteride will take me before doing anything else.
Looks like progress from these photos? But try to think longer term with updates every month or two, hair doesn’t grow that fast.
