hi everyone im looking for some answers because my derm is just brushing me off and she doesnt seem to really care anyway. im on oral min and dut for about a year now but ive always been on and off topical minox and/or fin. and as a diffuse thinner ive noticed early on that my temples have really taken a hit also.
last few months ive seen that the front and sides have thickened (density still the same) back to normal and gotten dark again, as well as seeing regrowth where ive lost hair. most of it is thick vellus hairs and some have gone terminal, even further out, but at the very front middle im still able to pluck out hairs once it gets to about half an inch. its been like this since i can remember and theres been several times over the years where in anger ive just pulled out like an inch + within a day or two. ive had a missing triangle that made it look like i have horns lol, and last time it was as if i took a lawnmower across my forehead. it gets inflammed after i yank it out but it takes no effort and has that fat globule at the end. today was grey/black but they used to be white. theyre always dry af that thats for sure, as if theyll snap in half if it try.
since ive been on and off hair meds over the decade, does it sound like these are just hairs that are still being “shed” since im a diffuse thinner, or why would my hair seem to be reverting to pre-balding yet still having such fragile hairs in that one area?
some peace of mind would be great because its starting to affect me mentally not knowing wtf is going on and where things are going, tired of getting my hopes up. thanks ahead of time
