Hi y’all I just want to ask: so I have fcktons of tiny transparent vellus hairs (1-3mm) all over my hairline where my hair used to be terminal, could these realistically turn into normal-looking hairs on topical minoxidil 5%? Or are they permanently cooked? I know minoxidil apparently works better on the crown, but all these vellus hairs are on my temples… and I keep seeing conflicting information about whether Minoxidil can actually save these hairs and bring them back from the brink. (additional context: female with aggressive male pattern baldness due to synthetic testosterone injections. I stopped the injections about 2.5 years ago and my temples never recovered. Was on fin temporarily but stopped when my hormones became normal.)
Nobody can predict that outcome. You try and see. Minoxidil works on every scalp hair the same way, crown, temples, doesn’t matter. You lose nothing by trying
