Experiencing Side Effects on Fluridil After 8 Days – What to Do?

I recently started fluridil/topilutamide (Eucapil) about a week ago (8 days), as I had previously tried finasteride a while back and got some pretty nasty sides from it (including but not limited to anxiety, insomnia, even suicidal ideation).

I know this is one of the hair loss products that’s less talked about here as it’s somewhat more obscure, but I was wondering if anyone on here could help guide me through the first few weeks or so, so I know if what I’m experiencing are real side effects or if it’s just in my head.

For the first couple of days the only side effect I was really experiencing was a breakout on my forehead. In terms of energy/libido, I honestly was feeling more energetic and arguably had improved erection quality.

On day 7 I noticed a pretty sizable drop in erection quality; it honestly felt somewhat hypersensitive down there as if I had recently achieved orgasm, in tandem with poor quality. Day 8 that seems to be persisting, with lower seminal volume too.

Is it too early to call it quits? I’m wondering if either:

  1. This is my body just getting used to the new drug, my hormones are adjusting to find a new homeostasis, and if overtime things will get better.

  2. This is a nocebo effect and all in my head, and just being overly-analytic is causing a negative feedback loop.

  3. This is just actually how it’s going to be, and I should probably find another way to battle DHT

Despite these three possibilities, what would the best plan of action be to assess if this is the right hairloss drug for me? As noted, fluridil is less common so I’m not sure if I’d be able to get professional advice from a doctor.

Thanks!

Too early to make judgments like that, but fluridil is pretty niche. There’s a lot said about lack of systemic involvement in fluridil, but anything is possible. Those three options you laid out are the usual split of options that take time to figure out.

How long do you think it’d be appropriate to wait before making a call?
