Hey guys, I’m a 23 year old male, hairline has been receding for a few years now. I’ve been on 2.5 oral minoxidil for a year and a half and 1.0 oral finasteride for about 6 months I believe. I haven’t seen any progress, if anything I feel like I’m just losing more hair and my hairline is getting worse. No baby hairs or anything. I also have been experiencing ED (Note- I also started lexapro at the same time which also has ED as a common side effect, so it could be caused by that). I’ve seen people say dutasteride works for them. I just want to see if anyone has any advice, I unfortunately don’t have any before and after pictures but I can get current pictures shortly. Please help me out! Thank you
You might not be seeing results from fin yet because it can take up to a year to notice changes. If ED is manageable and related to fin, trying topical formulations could help. Switching to dutasteride, which blocks more DHT, could be effective if fin isn’t doing enough. Adding microneedling might boost results.
