Experienced Hair Thinning After 12 Months on Fin, Should I Switch to Dut?

Hi! What could be the reason behind fin doing absolute wonders for my hair straight after starting - my hair were the best they ever looked and even got darker about 6 months into Fin - and then about 12 months in it started to get worse, shedding increased and the overall situation got worse.

I caught my loss very early so I - for now - still pretty much have a „full head of hair“ but I can definitely notice some thinning. It really hasn’t improved in the past 12 months. Now I’m on fin for about 22 months in total.

Should I switch to dut? Combine it? I’m really lost because I think the dht sensitivity just got higher over the past months but knowing that the suppression helped me before gets me into thinking what really to do…

it’s common for fin to work well initially, then seem less effective later as other factors contribute. you might consider switching to dut, since it blocks more types of 5-AR and may lower DHT more effectively. check out The Beginner’s Guide for details on switching treatments.
