Eliminate/Confirm AGA based on blood report

Hey there, Im 19M, and i have no family history of AGA. Not on my mother’s side or my father’s side.
My father whos in his 50s now, has a normal widows peak, which even I have atm!

Im pretty sure i had chronic TE since late Nov 2024, cus my har suddenly started falling a whole lot more than usual! The entire Top of my head is v sparse, and my scalp is obviously visible, even under normal lighting.

When i visited 2 derms, they immediately told me i had AGA by doing a fast trichoscpy, before asking me to do some kind of a blood test.

2 Months ago, found out I had 4.9ng/mL of vitamin D, which is insanely low, where the usual amt is >30.

I just got another test done, which showed vitamin D to be 24, which is still not great, but can be improved

my DHT serum levels were 746, and the normal range for my age is 143-842 pg/mL.

Does this confirm or eliminate AGA in any way?
Just wanted to know if I should start any medications?

Im fine with the medications, just want to be sure that I have AGA before starting anything…

and if i do, i plan on taking the classic topical min+fin mixture! Would you guys suggest this, or are there any modifications u would make?

Thank you so much in advance!

Vit D deficiency can cause hair loss, so correcting it should be a priority. Your DHT levels are within normal, but it doesn’t rule out AGA completely. Min and fin is a standard combo if you’re targeting potential AGA; they work to regrow hair and prevent further loss respectively. Consider starting treatment and monitor your progress over a few months. Check out the Beginner’s Guide for more info. If TE is the primary cause, treating the deficiency and reducing stressors will help.
