So I did a HT one month ago(front part) and all seems good for now, I am satisfied with the hairline design. I also have thinning on the crown but no big bald spot so the doctor recommended meds for it on my first consultation. I was reluctant to take meds but after 1 month of my HT, I noticed that my hair on crown is indeed growing much slower than the hair on the sides.
So when I went the doctor for one month check up, I told him that I want to stard meds so he prescribed me dutasteride and min but to take it only for 6 months post HT. These drugs are supposed to be taken for longer periods of time and if you stop using them, you lose your progress if your balding is still active, right?
What do you guys think? One one hand, many things that this doctor said are legit and I am satisfied with the service but this meds only for 6 months thing seems like a BS…
If this is a BS, I will continue to take medication even after 6 months.
