Continue Topical fin or switch over to oral fin

I (20 M) have been losing hair since I turned 18. I started using just minoxidil for around 15 months and it seemed to have slowed my hairloss by a lot or maybe my hairloss was just very slow at the start I’m not sure. Around April this year I started topical fin + min(hims) and saw some very light shedding at the start. But by September of this year my hair seemed to have almost fully come back. But for some reason, I started to have drastic shedding phase since then and have lost more hair in the last 2-3 months then I ever have in the last 2 years. Seriously I can’t even count how many anymore. Should I continue to stay on topical fin or try to switch oral fin? I heard some people get a late shedding phase around the 8 month mark which is where I am so I don’t know if I switch now it’ll make it worse or better. I also do eventually want to switch to oral fin since topical fin is just a hassle to put on everyday. However, i dont know if i should switch after my hair has recovered or now.

oral fin is better than topical fin, side effects left aside if you experience them. if you experience no sides whatsoever, oral is better than topical for nearly all current (eg minoxidil, dutasteride, finasteride) medicines related to hair loss. keep in mind stuff like pp405 (if it ever comes out) will likely not be oral ever, so that is why I said current.
